Eligible visitors travelling for tourism purposes can continue entering under existing agreements without completing an e-Visa application before departure. However, all travellers must still meet arrival requirements and pass immigration checks when entering the country.

European Union passport holders benefit from a visa waiver arrangement allowing eligible travellers to stay without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period, provided they are not travelling for employment purposes.

The new electronic visa system therefore mainly improves access for travellers who require visas, rather than creating a new requirement for all visitors.
