Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the largest hospitality group of India, has signed an agreement for the opening of a Taj hotel at Dharamshala in the state of Himachal Pradesh, adding another feather to its cap as far as its strategic growth plans for the flourishing high-end mountain tourism market of the country are concerned. The development will further enhance the brand value of the Taj hotels chain in one of the most dynamic leisure destinations of the country.

The proposed 105-key Taj Dharamshala will be positioned with sweeping views of the Dhauladhar mountain range, blending natural landscapes with premium hospitality infrastructure. A defining feature of the project is the restoration of the historic White Haven Estate, once the Viceroy’s summer residence in the late 1800s, which will be integrated into the hotel’s design narrative.
