On the 8th of April, a total solar eclipse will sweep across North America, a spectacle not often available for land-based observation. NASA’s astronomers have indicated that it might take nearly four centuries for a similar celestial event to follow the same route over North America again.

The collective hotel occupancy rates in the nine regions of Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Little Rock, AR; Poplar Bluff, MO; Paducah, KY; Evansville, IN; Cleveland, OH; Erie, PA; Buffalo, NY; and Burlington, VT, have surged from an average of 12% on the 1st of April 2024 to 69% by the 7th of April 2024. Notably, smaller locations such as Erie and Burlington are experiencing nearly full capacity, with 89% and 88% of their accommodations booked, respectively.
