The insightful historic connection between India and Sri Lanka, dating back quite a few millennia, backs the enormous significance of the 67th TAAI Convention.

The contract of the Travel Agents Association of India, following an 18-year pause, is arranged to be organized in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka from July 6 to 9 with more than 700 contributors mainly from India. The past linking between India and Sri Lanka, covering thousands of years, supplements the importance of the 67th Convention of the TAAI.

TAAI’s Convention of 2022, initially scheduled for April 19 to 22 in Colombo, was suspended because of
governmental turbulence and financial crunches.

However, now, with Sri Lanka on its path toward renewal, the Convention is being held in Sri Lanka to
encourage a local tourism system.

Sri Lanka Tourism said that India remains the leading one among the highest ten markets. The amount of
Indian tourist influxes is predictable to double this year. For upholding the attractions of Sri Lanka along
with its traditional significance and travel prospects, Sri Lanka is organizing roadshows in India for creating an optimistic awareness among Indian tourists.

TAAI, the biggest and oldest tourism agency in India, is prepared to display the theme of ‘Futuristic Focus on Transcending Borders’ and highlight Sri Lanka’s status as a benign, suitable and friendly place for Indian travelers.
