Las Vegas, Nevada is giving travelers another reason to start planning a getaway, with a citywide five-day promotion offering more than 180 deals across resorts, dining, entertainment and experiences.

The Vegas 5-Day Sale will run from September 22 through September 26, 2026, giving visitors a short window to book participating offers. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), selected resort stays will carry savings of up to 60%, although individual hotel offers and their booking conditions will only be revealed when the promotion begins.

For travelers, the attraction is not simply the headline hotel discount. The promotion covers several parts of a Las Vegas vacation, potentially allowing visitors to reduce costs beyond their accommodation.

More than hotel discounts

The latest promotion expands the concept beyond a traditional hotel sale.

The LVCVA says the 180-plus offers will span hotels, restaurants, entertainment and experiences, creating opportunities for travelers to save at different stages of a trip.

That matters in Las Vegas, where accommodation is only one part of the vacation budget. Visitors can also spend significantly on dining, shows, attractions and other activities during their stay.

The promotion therefore gives travelers the opportunity to compare the overall value of a trip rather than focusing exclusively on the advertised nightly room rate.

The five-day booking window

The sale begins at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on September 22 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on September 26.

The LVCVA has said the complete list of participating offers will be published when the sale launches.

That means travelers looking to take advantage of the promotion will need to pay attention to individual conditions, including available travel dates, room categories, minimum stays and other restrictions attached to specific offers.

The five-day period refers to the booking window, rather than a five-day travel period.

Why Las Vegas is emphasizing value

The promotion arrives after a challenging year for Las Vegas tourism.

According to LVCVA data, the destination welcomed 38.5 million visitors in 2025, a 7.5% decline from the previous year. Hotel occupancy averaged 80.3%, while the average daily room rate was $183.52, down 5% year over year. RevPAR also declined 8.8% to $147.30.

Despite those declines, Las Vegas continued to attract a substantial volume of visitors. The destination recorded approximately 6 million convention attendees during 2025, helping provide stability for the tourism economy.

The figures help explain why destination-wide promotions can be significant for travelers. With a large inventory of accommodation and attractions competing for visitors, discounts can become an important tool for encouraging people to make or bring forward travel plans.

Las Vegas still has a huge hotel market

Travelers also have considerable choice when comparing properties.

LVCVA research lists approximately 150,300 hotel rooms across Las Vegas, with average annual occupancy of 80.3%. Weekend occupancy was considerably higher at 88.8%, compared with 76.6% during the middle of the week.

For visitors with flexible schedules, those differences can be useful when planning a trip.

A traveler who is able to avoid particularly busy weekends may find more accommodation options and potentially better value, although the actual price will depend on the dates and participating property’s terms.

Resort fees remain an important consideration

The headline figure of “up to 60% off” should also be viewed in context.

A discounted room rate does not necessarily represent the final cost of a Las Vegas stay. Travelers should check the complete booking terms and look at additional charges, including resort fees, taxes and parking where applicable.

The 2025 edition of the sale illustrates why this matters. Last year’s promotion included not only room-rate reductions but also offers involving waived resort fees, food-and-beverage credits, free parking and other benefits.

As a result, the cheapest advertised room rate is not automatically the offer providing the greatest overall value.

A destination built for short getaways

Las Vegas is particularly suited to travelers looking for a relatively compact city break.

LVCVA’s research shows the average visitor stayed for approximately 3.2 nights in 2025. Around 21% of visitors attended a show, while 5% attended a sporting event. International visitors accounted for approximately 12% of total visitation.

That combination of relatively short stays and a wide range of entertainment options makes accommodation promotions particularly relevant to visitors planning a long weekend or short vacation.

The five-day booking window could therefore appeal to travelers who already have tentative plans but are waiting for a more attractive hotel price before confirming them.

Strong air connectivity supports international travel

The sale also comes as Las Vegas continues to operate as a major aviation gateway.

Harry Reid International Airport handled nearly 55 million passengers in 2025, the third-highest annual total in its history. The airport also maintained direct connectivity to more than 170 markets.

International connectivity is also expanding. The airport’s official information highlights new seasonal Air France nonstop service between Las Vegas and Paris, scheduled to begin April 15, 2026, with onward connections available to more than 120 markets.

For overseas visitors, strong connectivity makes a discounted hotel stay easier to incorporate into a broader U.S. itinerary.

Indian travelers may need to calculate the full trip cost

For travelers departing from India, however, a hotel promotion alone does not necessarily make a Las Vegas holiday inexpensive.

Since the value of the promotion depends on the complete trip cost, travelers should consider international airfare, any domestic U.S. connection, accommodation, taxes, resort fees, food and attractions before deciding whether the deal works for their budget.

For Indians already planning a wider U.S. vacation, Las Vegas could be particularly relevant as one stop within a multi-city itinerary.

What travelers should check before booking

When the offers go live on September 22, travelers should compare more than the percentage discount.

Key factors include:

  • Final room price
  • Resort fees
  • Taxes
  • Parking charges
  • Included dining or resort credits
  • Minimum-stay requirements
  • Blackout dates
  • Cancellation conditions
  • Eligible travel dates

The difference between a large room discount and a genuinely lower trip cost can depend on these details.

A broader push to make Vegas more accessible

The return of the Vegas 5-Day Sale comes at a time when Las Vegas continues to balance strong long-term demand with changing travel patterns.

The destination still recorded more than 38 million visitors in 2025, generated an estimated $80.9 billion in tourism economic impact, and maintained more than 150,000 hotel rooms.

The new promotion is therefore less about suggesting that Las Vegas lacks travelers and more about giving potential visitors another financial reason to make a booking.

For someone sitting at home scrolling through travel options, that can be the difference between saying, “Maybe next year,” and actually opening a calendar and checking flights.*

With more than 180 offers arriving for just five days, travelers will have a limited opportunity to see whether the advertised savings translate into a genuinely cheaper Las Vegas getaway. The real value will become clearer once the individual resort, dining and entertainment deals are released on September 22.
