Tanzania’s seventh version of Swahili International Tourism Expo (S!TE), which would start later this week, has enticed over 200 exhibitors and 150 global consumers from in excess of 20 countries around the
world.
Angellah Kairuki, Natural Resources and Tourism Minister of Tanzania said that the expo, which would be held from Friday through Sunday, will be formally launched by President Samia Suluhu Hassan in Tanzania’s port city of Dar es Salaam. For the first time, the expo will present a garden of living wild animals, comprising lions, leopards and hyenas to inspire domestic tourism.
Introducing arrangements for the tourism expo in April this year, Damasi Mfugale, the managing director of the Tanzania Tourist Board stated that after the expo, there would be six days familiarization trips to diverse allures around Tanzania, comprising Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, Mkomazi, the remains of Kilwa Kisiwani and Songo Mnara, Ruaha and Zanzibar Islands.
Mfugale further said that the expo will comprise activities like tourism business displays, funding
forums, meetings and business interactions.
