75 remote destinations all set to be explored

While repeating the commitment of the Government of J&K to take in more remote places on the Tourism Map, Mr. Syed Abid Rashid, the Secretary of Tourism, said that 75 remote tourism places were prepared in memorial of 75 years of Independence. This statement was made by him at the time of giving speech in a gathering at the Bangus Festival.


The Secretary of Tourism also added that arranging the Bangus festival had been a dream come true for the Lieutenant Governor, Mr. Manoj Sinha, with an intention to encourage tourism and draw greater number of visitors to the area in the coming days.


He also highlighted that the guidelines of the LG to grow and expand J&K’s Tourism map with unexplored remote destinations.


Rashid said that these 75 tourism destinations were earmarked for the first time, and are under development in commemoration of 75 years of independence.


Further, the Secretary of Tourism made sure that the gathering that Bangus would go through substantial changes in the coming years with the continuing efforts, so that Bangus would ultimately turn into a famous global tourism destination.


While stressing on the tourism potential of Kupwara, the Secretary of Tourism said that the Government is all geared up to discover border tourism in North Kashmir.
