The Vietnam-Mexico strategic partnership continues to grow after Vietnam and Veracruz officials reached an agreement to enhance collaboration in energy, ports, logistics, investments and supply chain. This was done after Vietnam Embassy delegation paid a visit to the state of Veracruz, Mexico from September 7 to 9, 2026. The two parties were keen on establishing stronger links between Southeast Asia and Latin America.

The cooperation places Veracruz at the centre of a growing Vietnam–Mexico connection. Known for its Gulf Coast location, industrial strength and maritime infrastructure, Veracruz is looking to build stronger international partnerships while Vietnam continues expanding its global trade network.
