The 2025 Formula One World Drivers’ Championship is set for a spectacular showdown under the dazzling lights of Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi this weekend, with three drivers vying for the ultimate prize in an unprecedented finale. Max Verstappen’s thrilling triumph in Qatar has set the stage for a high-stakes battle as the Dutchman challenges the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri for the championship crown. With Verstappen climbing to second in the standings on 396 points, just 12 points shy of series leader Norris, and Piastri closing in with only an 18-point deficit, the race promises edge-of-your-seat drama for fans around the globe.
This weekend marks a historic moment for the UAE capital, hosting its fourth title-deciding race and the first since 2021. Never before in the city’s F1 history have three drivers arrived with a genuine shot at the title. Verstappen, who has already claimed four of the last five races at Yas Marina Circuit, is pursuing a fifth Drivers’ Championship, while Norris and Piastri aim to topple the reigning Red Bull powerhouse and rewrite the record books.

As anticipation escalates, Yas Marina Circuit is preparing to deliver more than just racing action. Organisers, Ethara, have unveiled expanded fan experiences to enhance Abu Dhabi’s status as a premier global sporting destination. Responding to overwhelming demand, the 2025 edition will introduce two exclusive Pit Lane Walks on Thursday, December 4. These sessions provide fans with rare access to teams’ garages and the chance to see drivers up close. Tickets for these events are limited to four-day pass holders and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
For the first time, additional grandstand gates will open after the chequered flag on Sunday, December 7, allowing spectators to join the championship celebrations directly under the podium and witness the crowning of the 2025 World Champion in person. This new initiative ensures that fans are part of every historic moment as the season concludes.
Abu Dhabi’s multi-day ticket holders will also enjoy complimentary access to the city’s leading attractions, including Yas Island’s thrilling theme parks, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and Qasr Al Watan. New inclusions this year expand the cultural offerings further, with teamLab Phenomena, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, and the Zayed National Museum—opening on December 3—available for exploration. This comprehensive approach positions the Grand Prix as more than a race, offering a full-spectrum visitor experience that blends sport, culture, and entertainment.
The entertainment programme surrounding the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is equally ambitious. The four-night Emirates NBD Yasalam After-Race Concerts in Etihad Park will feature headline performances by Benson Boone, Elyanna, Post Malone, Metallica, and Katy Perry. In parallel, Official After-Parties will be hosted, headlined by Idris Elba, Keinemusik, and Calvin Harris, ensuring that the excitement continues long after the final lap.
