Abu Dhabi tourism records excellent growth during Q1 2023

The tourism segment of Abu Dhabi, which is the biggest of the seven emirates comprising the United Arab Emirates (UAE), recorded excellent progression during the first half of this year.


The hotels in Abu Dhabi witnessed 2.4 million tourists during the first half of this year, increasing by 34 percent compared to the year before, as per statistics available from the Abu Dhabi Division of Culture and Tourism.


The hotels witnessed incomes of over 3 billion UAE dirhams during the course of this time, recording a 26
percent increase compared to the year before.


The normal hotel residence degree was 70 percent, with tourists residing at these hotels for 2.7 nights on
average.


During the equivalent time, the amount of tourists coming to Abu Dhabi airports developed by 67 percent year-on-year to 10,258,653.

The quantity of flights reached 67,835, increasing by 36 percent from 49,919 during the first half of 2022.


The UAE has applied quite a few policies and procedures to grow the tourism segment, like the UAE
Tourism Strategy 2031, which aims to increase the tourism segment’s income to 450 billion dirhams, lure tourism funding valued at 100 billion dirhams, and witness 40 million hotel visitors by 2031.
