Accessible tourism summit requests to adhere to the UAE model

The 3rd edition of the Dubai Accessible Travel and Tourism International Summit, under the support of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman of Emirates Airline and Group, explained that the Arab World should team up with the UAE, which is a replica for civilization in preparing thriving strategies for the disabled.


For the tourism industry stakeholders, this is going to be the first important gathering, post-pandemic, bringing all the senior decision-makers under one roof related to airports, international organisations, airlines, tour operators, hotels, and other stakeholders to discuss on various challenges, opportunities that got lost and forthcoming growth avenues.


Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General, League of Arab States, while addressing the summit, requested the Arab world to tag along the UAE as a role model in terms of accessible destination and prioritize development on the whole with addition of disabled people in the society in harmonization with their individual ministries to understand the idea of Living Independently, employment of disabled ones and offer them decent jobs.


He said that the governments should recognize actionable recommendations with an aim to attain employment, tourism without borders and inclusion.


On the sidelines of the 4th edition of AccessAbilities Expo at Dubai World Trade Centre, DATTIS comes in where over 200 companies and centres related to rehabilitation from more than 50 countries are taking part in it.
