Aer Lingus proudly announces its steadfast support for Irish talent ahead of this year’s Oscars in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 10th. Following the successful Oscar’s flight departure reception at Dublin Airport last year, Aer Lingus continues its commitment to nurturing and championing the best of Irish film talent as they prepare for this prestigious event.

With excitement building for the 96th Academy Awards, Aer Lingus is privileged to transport some of Ireland’s most distinguished talent on its direct Los Angeles flight, EI 069, across the Atlantic Ocean. These individuals will not only showcase their exceptional artistry but also proudly represent Ireland on the renowned Oscars red carpet. Notably, among the esteemed travelers is cinematographer Robbie Ryan, recognized for his outstanding work on ‘Poor Things’, featuring Emma Stone.

Susanne Carberry Chief Customer Officer with Aer Lingus says “Aer Lingus is honoured to play a part in this cinematic journey and extend our hospitality and support to our own Irish talent as they and their families come together to celebrate this significant occasion for the Irish film industry. At Aer Lingus, we make every journey count, and this week, our Oscar nominees are embarking on one of their most important journeys as they travel to LA to represent Ireland at the most iconic movie awards in the world. Our Aer Lingus crews will go above and beyond to make it a memorable experience, and we wish Robbie, and all Irish nominees the very best of luck. We hope to have an extra seat to carry the golden statues on the flight home to Dublin from LA!”

Aer Lingus offers five weekly flights from Dublin directly to Los Angeles, with frequencies ramping up to daily for the summer season. Passengers can enjoy a range of in-flight entertainment, including the Oscar-nominated films ‘Poor Things’ and ‘Oppenheimer’. Furthermore, this year sees the expansion of Aer Lingus’ North American routes to 18, including the reinstatement of Minneapolis St Paul and the introduction of a new direct flight to Denver. With over 2.25 million transatlantic seats available for purchase, this marks Aer Lingus’ largest North American summer schedule to date, reflecting its commitment to facilitating seamless travel between Ireland and North America.
