Agartala’s Ujjayanta Palace soon to be modified into tourist hub

The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, in a recent development at the famous Ujjayanta Palace is all geared up to open a weekend tourism hub.


This palace is located in Agartala, the capital city. On every Saturday and Sunday, the whole region will be declared a no-traffic zone where the palace is located. This step is been adopted to promote tourism in Tripura.


Announcing Ujjayanta Palace a major tourism hub is one of the primary steps for the government.


In Agartala, Ujjayanta Palace has a royal heritage as Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore had named it. He was a regular visitor over there.


This palace is an architectural wonder and is recognized for its beautiful doors and attractive floors. The wood carved ceilings are a work of art. It tells a lot about the dexterity of the artisans involved in it.


The palace has been transformed into a museum in the current scenario and every passage of the palace takes one to the region’s old history.


There’s a remarkable compilation of artifacts, which shows northeast arts, lifestyle, and crafts in a great way.


This palace which is three-storey has been drawing enthusiasts related to history and culture from world over for quite a long time now.
