In a major win for travelers, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad will soon open a brand-new domestic lounge at Terminal 2. The new facility aims to offer a more spacious and comfortable experience with enhanced amenities.

According to airport officials, the shift of several domestic airline operations from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 created a strong demand for upgraded lounge services. To meet the growing expectations of premium flyers, construction is underway on a modern domestic lounge at T2, featuring expanded seating and a full range of contemporary comforts.

Terminal 2, originally dedicated to international flights, is now undergoing expansion to serve as a unified terminal for both domestic and international operations.

The enhancements at SVPIA go far beyond the lounges. Passengers can soon look forward to a seamless journey, with 56 additional check-in counters, dedicated Digi Yatra lanes for faster check-ins and security clearance, and new fast-track immigration facilities, all part of a sweeping upgrade to the airport’s passenger experience.

The improvements don’t end there — sources revealed that the domestic lounge at Terminal 1 is also slated for a major transformation in the coming months, aiming to create a more luxurious and comfortable environment for travelers to relax before boarding.
