Dubai’s touted world’s largest Ferris wheel, Ain Dubai (Dubai Eye), mysteriously halted just months after its 2021 opening.

This popular tourist attraction, designed to enhance UAE’s allure, remains closed indefinitely, with undisclosed reasons.

Its 250-meter height dwarfs the London Eye, boasting 48 air-conditioned cabins accommodating up to 1,750 riders per trip. Despite its popularity, the Ferris wheel’s main entrance remains closed, and visitors are scarce, photographing only its illuminated exterior.

The rumors circulate about technical issues, with employees suggesting that it’s “heavier than the island itself.” Experts speculate that the silence on the issue implies a complex problem. As Dubai’s skyline witnesses this enigma, the once-celebrated Ferris wheel stands still, casting shadows on its promising future.
