Air Arabia Adds Warsaw Modlin Flights, Expanding UAE–Poland Travel Access

Air Arabia has widened its European footprint by launching direct flights linking Sharjah with Warsaw Modlin Airport, thereby incorporating a second airport in Poland’s capital into its existing network. The route began operations on December 20 and has expanded travel choices for passengers journeying between the UAE and Poland.

With this addition, the airline now stands among a small group of operators providing non-stop connectivity from Sharjah to both of Warsaw’s primary airports. Ongoing services to Warsaw Chopin Airport are being maintained alongside the new Modlin connection, increasing overall accessibility to the city for international travellers.

Expanded Poland Connectivity Through Multiple Weekly Services

With the introduction of Warsaw Modlin, Air Arabia now operates a total of 24 weekly flights between the UAE and Poland. This schedule includes daily flights to Warsaw Chopin Airport, alongside ten weekly non-stop services to Krakow. The added frequency strengthens air links between the two countries while supporting consistent travel movement across multiple Polish entry points.

The new Modlin service further extends accessibility for passengers in northern Poland, enabling direct travel to the Middle East without the need for additional connections. The expanded schedule reflects a broader focus on maintaining consistent travel capacity across key European routes from the airline’s Sharjah hub.

Travel Patterns Shaped by Expanding International Networks

For travellers, the expansion of international air networks continues to play a defining role in shaping journey planning and destination access. The availability of multiple arrival points within a single capital city can influence travel flexibility, scheduling preferences, and routing decisions, particularly during high-demand travel seasons.

Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah now includes destinations such as Munich, Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, and Warsaw Modlin. These routes form part of a broader European footprint serving nearly 20 destinations during the winter 2025–26 season.

The winter schedule also marked the airline’s first direct service to Germany with daily non-stop flights between Sharjah and Munich. Additional daily services were introduced to Prague, reinforcing Sharjah’s role as a central hub for European travel connections.

Fleet Operations and Continued Network Development

Operations across the expanded network are supported by an all-Airbus fleet consisting of A320 and A321 aircraft. This fleet structure underpins the airline’s ability to maintain consistent service across short- and medium-haul routes within Europe and beyond.

During 2025, Air Arabia reported strong operational performance, supported by growth in passenger numbers and revenue. This performance was attributed to the continued expansion of the route network and the deployment of additional capacity across existing markets, including Europe.

The airline indicated that demand between the UAE and Central Europe continues to be driven by tourism, business travel, and visits to friends and relatives. The addition of Warsaw Modlin aligns with this demand profile while maintaining the existing network structure.
