Air Arabia’s European expansion: Direct flights to Athens launched

Air Arabia, the largest low-cost carrier (LCC) operator in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced the commencement of its latest route connecting Sharjah with Athens, the capital of Greece. This new service, set to begin operations on June 28th, 2024, emphasizes the airline’s dedication to promoting affordable global travel.

The schedule for flights to and from Athens, effective June 28, 2024 (all times local), is as follows:

This new route will operate with a frequency of four weekly flights, providing passengers with a direct and efficient link between these two vibrant cities. Air Arabia aims to enhance accessibility for both business and leisure travelers, contributing to the economic and cultural connections between the UAE and Greece.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, expressed enthusiasm about the non-stop service, stating, “We are pleased to announce the launch of our direct service connecting Sharjah with Athens—a city renowned for its rich history, culture, and business opportunities. Air Arabia operates a modern fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR aircraft, known for their comfort and efficiency. The cabin configuration provides added comfort with generous seat-pitch in the economy cabin. Passengers can enjoy ‘SkyTime,’ a free in-flight streaming service, and a variety of delicacies from the on-board ‘SkyCafe’ menu at affordable prices.
