The A220 is known for its impressive comfort, advanced technology, and efficiency, making it one of the most popular aircraft in the airline’s fleet. The first of these aircraft will be delivered in March 2026, further elevating the in-flight experience for passengers.
The enhancements are not limited to the mainline and Rouge fleets. Air Canada Express, operated by Jazz, is also undergoing significant upgrades. Aircraft like the Embraer E175 and Mitsubishi CRJ-900 will receive the airline’s new cabin standards starting in 2026. As part of the upgrade, the airline is rolling out next-generation Fast, Free Wi-Fi, with 55% of the fleet already completed. Air Canada is also refurbishing 25 De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft, which will receive new seating, updated interiors, and Wi-Fi improvements. These changes will improve the regional travel experience, particularly for passengers flying out of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
To further elevate the onboard experience, Air Canada is introducing complimentary beer, wine, and premium snacks on all flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, and Air Canada Express (Jazz) within North America. Travelers can enjoy Canadian-made snacks such as MadeGood Morning Bars on early flights, TWIGZ seasoned pretzels, and Leclerc Célébration cookies, along with a selection of complimentary beverages. This initiative ensures that passengers not only enjoy enhanced comfort but also a more delightful in-flight experience.
Air Canada offers a vast network of destinations, including major cities such as Calgary, Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver, as well as convenient connections to the U.S., Caribbean, South America, and Mexico. The airline also provides passengers traveling to the U.S. with the benefit of U.S. Customs preclearance, allowing them to complete immigration and customs procedures before departure.
