Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) has introduced the innovative Aerowash service, a cutting-edge robotic technology designed to revolutionize aircraft exterior cleaning. This state-of-the-art solution delivers remarkable environmental benefits while enhancing operational efficiency. Developed in collaboration with Aerotech Support Services, Aerowash has now been successfully launched at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (KIAB/BLR Airport), following its initial deployment in Delhi.

The Swedish-designed Aerowash system employs advanced robotics to provide precise and efficient cleaning for aircraft exteriors. Its eco-friendly design has made a significant environmental impact, saving an estimated 31,000 tons of CO2 emissions and conserving 4.2 million liters of water across 2,414 aircraft cleans. The system also minimizes aerodynamic drag and reduces ground time, improving aircraft performance while offering better ergonomic conditions for cleaning operators.
