Starting from April 13, 2024, Air Mauritius, the national airline of Mauritius, is scheduled to offer weekly flights every Saturday directly from Chennai to Mauritius. Utilizing an Airbus A330, equipped with 254 seats, these flights will bridge Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, India, with SSR International Airport in Mauritius, ensuring a smooth travel experience over a span of 5 hours and 45 minutes.
Effective April 13, 2024, flights departing from Chennai are as follows:

Mr,Laurent Recoura, Officer in Charge of Air Mauritius stated that, “We are pleased to restart our operations from Chennai after four years of absence. Mauritius and India share a special relationship that is built on the foundation of people-to-people ties. cultural heritage, which reflects its history and deep-rooted cultural ties with India. Both countries are united by ancestry, language and geography.” Air Mauritius currently operates six times weekly from Mumbai and thrice weekly from Delhi.
