In a landmark partnership designed to cultivate expertise and talent in the evolving field of drone technology, AirAsia Drone, a subsidiary of Capital A Berhad, and SRI College Malaysia, a premier private institution specializing in management, have joined forces to introduce a drone management program.
This initiative aims to elevate drone management education in Malaysia by co-creating a Diploma in Drone Management. The program will incorporate AirAsia Drone’s Remote Pilot Certificate Competency — Basic (RCOC-B) into its curriculum, offering students a thorough understanding of drone operations, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. Participants in the program will gain the chance to earn the RCOC-B certification, significantly boosting their qualifications and job prospects in the burgeoning drone sector.

The jointly developed diploma program covers theoretical training in various areas, including Introduction to Drones and Technology, Drone Regulations and Compliance, Business and Entrepreneurship in Drones, Aerial Mapping, Drone Marketing and Sales, and Environmental and Wildlife Monitoring. Additionally, it includes industrial training as a course requirement, culminating in the award of a Diploma in Drone Management upon successful completion.
