Categorizing traveler types, couples and solo adventurers took the forefront, constituting 43.8% and 33.8% of the user base, followed by group travelers at 13.6% and families at 8.8%. This highlights a travel trend towards more intimate and independent exploration, showcasing airasia MOVE’s appeal as a versatile online travel agent (OTA) catering to a diverse range of traveler profiles.
Remarkably, a substantial 40.7% of hotel bookings occurred within a tight 3-day window before the scheduled arrival, indicating a penchant for short weekend getaways and spontaneous business trips. The next popular timeframe for bookings was within the 4 to 14-day range.
For the Flight + Hotel (SNAP) option, featuring flights and hotels bundled together in one booking, 15% of bookings were made 8 to 14 days before the planned arrival, with a close follow-up in the 0 to 7-day range. This underscores the diverse planning behaviors of airasia MOVE users, ranging from meticulously planned journeys to impromptu escapes.
