airBaltic, KLM, and Business Tampere unite to explore sustainability in aviation

airBaltic, in collaboration with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Business Tampere, is set to tackle the current challenges in aviation and pave the way for a more sustainable future of flying. The Sustainability Forum, titled “Shaping the Future of Aviation,” is scheduled for November 30, 2023, from 12:00 to 16:30 at Tampere Hall in Finland (Yliopistonkatu 55).

This forum will convene renowned experts and decision-makers to delve into the urgent challenges faced by the aviation industry and explore innovative solutions for a sustainable sector. Participants can expect valuable insights from talks and discussions led by distinguished speakers and industry professionals.

The program includes:

• Welcome greetings by Anna-Kaisa Ikonen, the Minister of Local and Regional Government.
• Keynote speech by Stephen Wright, Industry Professor at the University of Tampere.
• An expert panel discussion featuring Anselm Eisentraut (Neste), Mikko Viinikainen (Finavia), Zita Baranova (airBaltic), and Maria Hagelberg (KLM Royal Dutch Airlines), exploring various sustainability initiatives and strategies in aviation.
• Olli Ikäheimo from Business Tampere will host the event, with Soili Varpula from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines moderating the panel discussion.
