In March 2024, airBaltic, the Latvian national airline, maintained its strong momentum by serving 360,700 passengers, marking a remarkable 24% surge compared to the same period last year. Despite the usual winter slump in demand, the airline showcased consistently robust figures for passenger transport within a single month. March also saw airBaltic conducting 3,600 flights, reflecting a notable 16% uptick from the preceding year.
Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic: “In March, we transported nearly 100 thousand more
passengers than in the previous month, affirming our position as the preferred airline in the Baltic
States. This summer season we have great offer for our customers on new destinations throughout the
summer. With this expansion, we anticipate increased traffic to and from the Baltics. We have identified
opportunities to expand the airBaltic’s network in Central and Southeast Europe by adding new
destinations and increasing flight frequencies to other popular destinations across the Europe. This
enhancement offers our passengers more options for both leisure and business travel.”
