The unveiling of airBaltic monthly inflight magazine, Baltic Outlook, introduces a captivating twist: its cover now showcases vibrant art of airBaltic destinations, all crafted by artificial intelligence (AI).

March 2024 marks the debut of the first AI-generated cover, gracing the 160th edition of Baltic Outlook. In addition, airBaltic is set to launch a unique NFT collection titled “AI Art Collection of airBaltic Destinations” on the OpenSea marketplace.

Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic: “airBaltic passion and dedication to innovations, the increasing use of AI, and our previous experience with NFT collections has motivated us to bring this idea to life. We see our growing network of destinations as a great strength and in this context – as a creative way to complement our inflight magazine and bring even more vibrant, meaningful content to our readers. We hope they will enjoy the special editions of Baltic Outlook available on board airBaltic flights and online.”

Ilze Pole, Editor-in-Chief of Baltic Outlook: “It has always been important to us to create content with added value, and we have found a new trendy and creative way to showcase airBaltic destinations. Celebrating the newly-launched flights to the city, Alicante in Spain is the first NFT artwork* from the collection – AI-generated and inspired by the style of Juan Gris, a Spanish artist who worked alongside Picasso in Paris in the early 20th century. It was a very exciting creative process for us as it required immersing in both – AI and the world of history of art.”

This pioneering collection features AI-generated NFT artworks, each representing a distinct airBaltic destination. Drawing inspiration from renowned artists associated with each location, these creations blend technology with artistic flair, offering a novel perspective on travel imagery.

Since its inception in 2010, Baltic Outlook has been a flagship publication of Frank’s House, earning acclaim from both passengers and business partners as an essential component of airBaltic flights.

The magazine serves as a comprehensive source of information, featuring updates on airBaltic and its destinations, as well as the latest fashion trends and exclusive interviews. Over the years, notable personalities such as racing icon Lewis Hamilton, esteemed actors John Malkovich, Isabelle Huppert, Liv Ullmann, and Ralph Fiennes, along with Cannes Film Festival’s Palme d’Or laureate Ruben Östlund, and Chanel’s master perfumer Jacques Polge, among others, have graced its pages. Writers from esteemed publications like Vogue and CNN contribute regularly, solidifying Baltic Outlook’s status as a premier inflight magazine.
