Airbus achieved a milestone by delivering its inaugural Airbus A321neo crafted at its latest A320 Family Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Toulouse. This aircraft, set to operate under Pegasus Airlines, a leading low-cost carrier in Türkiye, signifies the premiere handover from Airbus’ cutting-edge production facility. Nestled within the refurbished A380 “Jean-Luc Lagardère” building, this assembly line underscores Airbus’ dedication to modernization, addressing the burgeoning global demand for the A321neo, presently constituting almost 65% of Airbus’ A320 Family order backlog.

As the largest member within the Airbus A320neo Family, the A321neo boasts unparalleled range and performance. Outfitted with next-generation engines and Sharklets, it delivers a 50% decrease in noise impact and over a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions compared to earlier single-aisle aircraft models. Simultaneously, it optimizes passenger comfort within the broadest single-aisle cabin among its peers. With more than 5,600 A321neo orders from over 100 global clients, its popularity remains evident.

Pegasus Airlines presently operates a fleet of 93 Airbus aircraft, comprising 6 A320ceo, 46 A320neo, and 41 A321neo models, with an additional 68 A321neos on order.

This aircraft delivery to Pegasus Airlines signals the commencement of increased production at the new Toulouse FAL. Together with Airbus’ other A320 Family FALs in Hamburg (Germany), Mobile (USA), and Tianjin (China), it contributes to Airbus’ goal of manufacturing 75 A320 Family aircraft monthly by 2026.
