Airbus Helicopters successfully concluded the 2024 Heli-Expo, announcing 155 commitments, including 40 confirmed orders, from global customers for its versatile helicopters.

A key highlight was the significant deal with THC for up to 120 helicopters of various models, including a confirmed purchase of 8 H125s and 10 H145s. The company reinforced its dominance in the helicopter emergency medical services sector, particularly with the H145 model, securing contracts with THC for up to 10 H145s and DRF Luftrettung. HealthNet Aeromedical Services in the U.S. expanded its exclusive Airbus fleet with an addition of four H135s.

Niagara Helicopters, a Canadian tour operator, added six H130s to its fleet, and Bristow ordered up to 15 H135s for the expanding energy sector. Additionally, Airbus Helicopters and LCI announced two partnerships aimed at exploring the advanced air mobility market and addressing the industry’s long-term needs in capacity, sustainability, and financing.

“We thank our customers for placing their trust in our teams and our products and services with 155 commitments and 40 firm orders announced at this year’s Heli-Expo. It is a unique opportunity in the year to meet and exchange with customers and industry players. In 2023, our global fleet achieved 3 million flight hours so customer feedback is essential and it drives the continuous improvement of our solutions to enhance their critical, often life-saving, missions,” said Bruno Even, Airbus Helicopters CEO.

In terms of support and services, Airbus Helicopters unveiled an HCare contract for comprehensive coverage of Air Center Helicopters’ 18 H225s and a similar agreement with the Czech Republic’s EMS provider, DSA, for eight H135 helicopters. The partnership with GPMS on the FlyScan program will enhance proactive technical support and customized advice for more operators through shared data.

Demonstration flights at the expo featured an H145 and an H125 operating on 30% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), emphasizing Airbus Helicopters’ commitment to incorporating SAF into its operations wherever feasible.
