Akasa Air, the rapidly expanding airline in India, has started its services from Ayodhya, providing daily direct flights between Pune and Ayodhya, with a stopover in Delhi but no need for passengers to change planes. The first flight took off from Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya on 15 February 2024 at 13:35hrs, reaching Pune International Airport at 17:50hrs after stopping at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at 15:05hrs. The flight times are conveniently scheduled for daytime travel to enhance passenger comfort.
Ayodhya, renowned for its spiritual and cultural heritage, draws visitors worldwide. Introducing flights to this city aims to meet the increasing demand for air travel in the area, aligning with Akasa Air’s mission to connect major cities and smaller regions throughout India.
