Alaska Airlines is expanding its presence in Portland by introducing a new direct route to Atlanta this upcoming fall, enhancing the travel options for its passengers. The service, which commences on October 1, will be available throughout the year.
“For more than 20 years, we’ve been the largest carrier in Portland — one of our key West Coast gateways- We’re always looking for ways to connect the Rose City to other destinations across our network- We believe our flights to Atlanta will be a popular addition for our guests heading to the South,” said Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning for Alaska Airlines.
Portland to Atlanta Flight Details
This launch will increase the number of direct destinations Alaska Airlines offers from Portland to 54. The airline has recently initiated a nonstop flight to Miami on November 17 and will introduce a year-round service to Nashville beginning March 14.
Additionally, Alaska Airlines has recently declared a significant expansion with over 20 new daily flights from Portland starting this summer, boosting its capacity by 25%. This expansion is aimed at enhancing connectivity and offering more travel choices to passengers.
