Allegiant Flight Attendants Vote in Favor of New Labor Agreement

Allegiant flight attendants have officially ratified the tentative agreement, garnering an impressive 89 percent approval from members, with a robust 97 percent voter turnout. Representing over 1,700 Allegiant flight attendants, TWU Local 577 facilitated this crucial decision.

Upon ratification of the contract, flight attendants saw a substantial average pay rise of 25 percent. Those at the apex of the wage scale experienced an even more significant increase of 41.2 percent. Beyond these salary bumps, the contract boasts numerous enhancements, including upgraded pay overrides.

“We are so pleased to announce a ratified agreement with the TWU Local 577,” said Allegiant President Gregory C. Anderson. “Our cabin crews take care of our customers ensuring their safety and comfort as our ambassadors in the sky and their work is integral to the success of our operations. This contract is structured to meaningfully improve their experience and better recognize their vital role as part of Team Allegiant.”

Apart from salary enhancements, the fresh contract introduces numerous improvements aimed at enhancing the quality of life for TWU 577 members. A significant enhancement is the expanded “duty rig,” extending the compensation duration for flight attendants while on duty. Additionally, the contract features an enhanced 401k match, a cap on healthcare cost share hikes, and other insurance upgrades.

In conjunction with the average 25 percent wage hike upon contract ratification, all flight attendants will receive a 3 percent hourly pay increase annually, culminating in a collective 41 percent average wage rise over the contract’s duration. Moreover, Local 577 members will be granted a combined $10 million lump sum bonus. Each flight attendant will receive a minimum lump sum bonus of $1,500 or a bonus equivalent to roughly $1,013 per year of service, whichever is greater.

The prior collective bargaining agreement between the parties expired on December 21, 2022. However, Allegiant and TWU efficiently negotiated the new contract within a year and a half, leveraging their robust and collaborative working relationship.
