Finally, a theme park that has been dormant and sleeping over for ages will come back to life. The abandoned Lancashire Amusement Park, which has been closed for more than 20 years, will soon welcome guests.

The Lancashire Amusement Park is nestled in the seaside town of Lancashire, England.

However, plans for a leisure park as well as a festival area on the abandoned site have developers interested in bringing the once popular Morecambe seaside attraction back to life.

It was known as Fun City, and West End Amusement Park had wondrous rides such as the Rattler, the Wild Mouse, Noah’s Ark, and a log fume.

With most of its former rides demolished, there is not much left of the location today.

In addition to this, the attraction’s log fume was further dismantled to make room for a phone mast.

Morrisons brought down a section of the park, thereby making space for a new supermarket.

The Lancaster City Council bought the 7.5-acre plot in the year 2021. This will make way for the investors who can finally plan on its redevelopment.

Almost eight proposals have been submitted over the course of two years, as the councils reported to the media.

The leader of Lancaster City Council, Phillip Black, aims to oversee the ambitions relating to the site. Thereby, further announcements will be made for that.

A seaside town in Lancashire has been in decline for several decades; it is hoped that the reopening of an attraction will breathe new life into it.

The council is planning to build something like Cornwall’s Eden Project, which would involve an expenditure of £100 million on botanical attractions.

Furthermore, Eden Project Morecambe will be a beautiful destination, providing an immersive experience for people. This will improve wellbeing and foster a connection between people and the internationally significant Morecambe Bay natural environment.

The construction for this project will begin next year. The project will feature enormous, shell-shaped domes encircled by outdoor gardens.

There will be an immersive theatre and large installations in a hyper-real forest. The Natural Observatory will serve as an educational and research facility.
