Northeast California

The Anderson California Welcome Center is situated at the south end of the Shasta Gateway Center and functioned by the Shasta Cascade Wonderland Association. While you are visiting Northeast California, you can halt and explore all the entertaining marvels of Butte, Lassen, Plumas, Shasta, Modoc, Tehama, Siskiyou and Trinity counties, which are the eight eastern counties in Upstate comprising the Shasta Cascade area, offering an ideal place to enjoy a retreat and relish the wealth of nature.

At the Anderson California Welcome Center, visit for free brochures and maps, and leaf through wonderful historic and informational displays, comprising their geocaching exhibits. See wild trout in their waterfall pond; capture photos with Joe Tourist, their welcoming mascot or Ed, which is their life-size bronze-made grizzly bear. You can even shop in their gift store displaying indigenous products. The Anderson California Welcome Center’s cordial and well-informed staffs are accessible to help you 7 days a week, 361 days a year.
