The Tourism Department of Anderson County is handling numerous burgeoning projects all over Kentucky, committed to revive interest in tourism.
The department of tourism, Kentucky, has allotted $1,897,500 to these projects. It was provided under the American Rescue Plan Act.
Of these projects – Distilled in Kentucky is the most prime, and is also a documentary series of eight episodes, debuting on OTT services, like Roku, committed to tell stories about counties located all over Kentucky.
The director of the Tourism Department of Lawrenceburg, Robbie Morgan, said that it’s a chance that Anderson County characteristically would never get, and probably won’t get again as these types of funding are once-in-a- lifetime kind of, and it offers them a chance to do once-in-a-lifetime ad
campaigns. Robbie also said that they do a print ad, and they have the momentum of that issue. He adds that if a television show is done that lives in perpetuity on various streaming web channels, and one can have momentum for the coming five years.
Distilled was initially ideated by David Helmers, the maker of 2019’s the Railbird music festival. Four years later, now Distilled in Kentucky has formally been given the green light. For the cost of production, it has been awarded half a million dollars.
