Yesterday i.e. on Sunday, the Tourism minister of Andhra Pradesh, M Srinivasa Rao, explained that during the former TDP regime,

TDP leaders were involved in land encroachment incidents in and around Visakhapatnam. He also mentioned that the YSRC government was not following any political vendetta against TDP leaders who had seized the major lands in Vizag city and Vizag district.

When TDP controlled the government, Visakhapatnam became a city of corruption. However, the present YSRC government is making Vizag a safe city, said the minister.

Also, the minister alleged that Palla Srinivasa Rao had encroached 49 acres of land. It was valued almost Rs. 791.41 crore in benami accounts. He dared opposition leader N. Chandrababu Naidu to answer whether he supported the encroachment of government land.
