A globally recognized expert in aircraft painting and exterior coatings, MAAS Aviation has called Andrew Hoad, a skilled industry professional, as its new Chairman. Originally, Hoad joined hands with MAAS in April last year in the role of Non-Executive Director, prior to accepting this recent position in October 2023.
Hoad is a very experienced authority on aviation. Previously, he has held senior technical positions at different impressive airlines and large MROs. Also, he at present holds non-executive directorship positions at Aerfin Ltd and TP Aerospace.
Hoad said that there are several people associated in the heavy maintenance of aircraft, however, there are not many who are doing an excellent job of painting aircraft. He added that it’s the attention to various aspects and care that their people put into safeguarding every livery that they paint looks as good as new that makes him truly proud to be an important part of MAAS.
He also said that in general aircraft maintenance spend, repainting is a comparatively a small share, but it’s tremendously crucial nonetheless. Hoad continues to add that aircraft painting is categorically an extremely skilled job; henceforth they are laser focused on safeguarding that they constantly train and get the best people on board.
