ANZ announces the continuation of ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards that honours travel champions

ANZ announced that it continued the commitment to the ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards for another two years.

ANZ has been the naming-rights sponsor for the event since 2015, and before that a gold sponsor.

The Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards have been presented annually since 1998 to the industry leaders who are pioneered in travel and tourism industry in Fiji and also responsible in developing the tourism and travel business from all point of views.

ANZ Fiji Country Head, Saud Minam, made the renewal of the sponsor announcement in Suva, reiterating ANZ’s support to Fiji’s tourism industry. ANZ has been a long-time supporter of the Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards.

ANZ Fiji Country Head, Saud Minam also said that these are the most important tourism awards in Fiji, and they are delighted to be associated with this great event.

They believe that by supporting the awards, they are helping to offer a valuable platform for Fiji’s tourism industry to produce and hold the global best-practice by recognizing the sustainable and innovative business practices.

The chair of the ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards, Bill Whiting, said that ANZ’s support is deeply appreciated and ANZ is playing a vital role in projecting and inspiring the excellence in travel and tourism industry. The sponsorship is vital in enabling the trustees to recognise and acknowledge those individuals and companies who set an aspirational standard of excellence in tourism.

Fiji has a strong growing tourism industry, which with government support is setting exceptionally high standards and achieving record numbers of visitor arrivals.

The annual travel event will be held at the Sheraton Resort, Denarau, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 bringing together tourism operators from across Fiji to reward and recognise the champions of travel, trade and tourism industry.
