Arajet, the Dominican Republic’s national carrier, has reached a major milestone by surpassing three million passengers since its operations began in September 2022. This achievement underscores the airline’s rapid growth in the competitive Latin American aviation market, establishing it as a powerful player within the region.
November 2025 marked one of the airline’s most successful months, showcasing its ability to continue expanding at an impressive rate. According to the Dominican Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Arajet transported over 128,000 passengers in the month, excluding those connecting through the airline. Including connecting travelers, this number soared to more than 145,000, highlighting an exceptional increase in traffic. This surge reflects the growing demand for air travel in and out of the Dominican Republic, as well as Arajet’s successful efforts to meet that demand.
For five consecutive months, Arajet has ranked as the third largest airline in the Dominican Republic by passenger volume, capturing more than 8% of all passengers entering or leaving the country in November alone. This strong performance not only cements Arajet’s position as a major national carrier but also showcases the airline’s rapidly growing dominance in the region’s aviation sector.
“Closing the year with our 13th aircraft and reaching the three-millionth passenger in just three years is a source of great pride and reflects the committed work of hundreds of Arajet team members, determined to turn the Dominican Republic into the new air hub of the continent,” said Víctor Pacheco, CEO and Founder of the airline.
Arajet’s growth is driven by its strategic focus on expanding its routes, optimizing its modern fleet, and creating a value proposition that enhances connectivity between the Dominican Republic, Latin America, the Caribbean, and North America. This approach has allowed the airline to successfully increase its market share, ensuring the Dominican Republic becomes a vital air transportation hub in the region.
In November 2025, Dominican airlines collectively transported 142,300 passengers. Arajet carried approximately 90% of this total, reaffirming its dominant role in the national commercial aviation market. The airline’s ability to capture a substantial share of this market underlines its leadership in the country’s aviation landscape, where competition is fierce.

Arajet’s success is largely attributed to its focus on expanding its network to major regional destinations, bolstering both short and long-haul services. This growth strategy allows the airline to tap into a larger passenger base, both from international travelers seeking to visit the Dominican Republic and from locals looking for affordable and efficient air travel options.
Looking ahead, Arajet aims to continue strengthening its connectivity by adding more routes and expanding its fleet. The airline’s commitment to customer satisfaction and its focus on affordability and efficiency will remain at the heart of its operations as it continues to build on its strong foundation. With a modern fleet that meets the needs of a growing passenger base, Arajet is poised for continued growth and is well-positioned to maintain its momentum.
As Arajet’s presence in the Latin American and Caribbean aviation markets grows, its focus on enhancing the travel experience for passengers will ensure it remains a key player in the region’s air travel industry. The airline’s strategic investments in fleet upgrades, route expansions, and customer service will help sustain its rapid growth while maintaining its leadership in the Dominican Republic.
The airline’s ongoing commitment to competitive pricing and network growth ensures it will remain an influential figure in the future of Dominican aviation. As it continues to innovate and improve air travel options, Arajet is on track to continue shaping the future of travel in the Americas. With more growth and new routes on the horizon, the airline is well-positioned to lead the charge in reshaping the region’s aviation sector for years to come.
