Arunachal Pradesh, India unveils a transformative ₹39,842 crore budget for 2025-26, focusing on infrastructure, education, rural growth, and human capital development.
Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Chowna Mein unveiled the Arunachal Pradesh state budget for 2025-26, with a total outlay of ₹39,842.23 crore. Representing an 11.16% rise from the previous year, the budget underscores the government’s focus on holistic development.

Key Sectoral Allocations:
The fiscal deficit stands at ₹966.65 crore, or 2.02% of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), aligning with the guidelines of the Arunachal Pradesh Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) Act, 2006.
Strategic Initiatives:
The budget is structured around four key pillars—Investing in People, Infrastructure, Economy, and Innovation. A major highlight is the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive State Rural Road Development Programme, with an initial ₹500 crore allocation, aiming for ₹2,000 crore over four years to improve rural connectivity.
2025-26: Year of Human Capital
Declaring 2025-26 as the Year of Human Capital, the government focuses on skill development, technology adoption, and entrepreneurship to build a stronger workforce and drive economic growth.
