Asheville tourism representatives spoke about a noteworthy fall in tourists reserving hotels and Airbnbs.

The statistics show that tourist numbers have dropped 11% equalled to previous summer. The statistics is approximately dealers are conscious of since they rely on visitors for their trades to remain buoyant.

Chevron Trading Post and Bead Company proprietor Deborah Coule said that visitor numbers have
undeniably plunged. She said that she does not know if it is the costs of gas or if people are remaining at
home.

Coule has held her business for the last 27 years on Lexington Avenue. Her massive store extends into two
edifice spaces where customers can catch hold of every color and form of bead they want. The storefront is at all times decorated with star lamps prepared with paper in numerous hues.

Coule said that typically, May-June, one can see an increase in business. However, this time, it didn’t
actually occur in that month.

Coule is pleased that she is able to endure the severe weakening in sales in the course of the pandemic. After almost three decades in trade, she is cautious regarding any possible slump, and is alert that it’s the
price of being in the trade.
