At luncheon, Sandra Fuller gives tourism updates

Members perceived all about tourism sector and its happenings at the chamber quarterly luncheon.

Sandra Fuller with Tallapoosa County Tourism declared that Lake Martin Tourism and Tallapoosa County Tourism are integrating as one organization that was shaped out of an affiliation with Alexander City and
the county commission.

This amalgamation of two will permit them to attract resources at the same time employ extra staffs and start a rebranding campaign. Fuller stated that she is quite thrilled about the way this fusion will showcase the county and Lake Martin.

Besides the union, Tallapoosa County Tourism is providing training on customer service for local employees. Also, this training gives the participants a chance to experience area’s some of the key attractions like the Smith Mountain, Horseshoe Bend Park, Wellborn Musclecar Museum, and others.

Fuller also stated that this permits those who work in the area to get aware of what the community has to offer and allows them to get delighted about the attractions around them.

On June 26 th , the next training is scheduled with 10 to 15 spots currently on hand. Fuller requested everyone to reach out, if they are keen on training. 

Also, Tallapoosa Tourism has a data service provider to add analytics concerning the county, keeping in mind, the points of interest and patterns of migration. 

Fuller also said that they went ahead and looked at Smith Mountain’s and got the information that in 2021, they welcomed 57,000 visitors. It’s really good strong unbiased information.
