Atlas Air Worldwide, Kuehne+Nagel, and SR Technics received the 2023-2024 Laureate Award from Aviation Week in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) category during a ceremony held in Washington, D.C., on March 14. This accolade was in recognition of the Sustainable Engine Alliance’s outstanding contributions, a joint venture among the three organizations, focused on transforming the sustainability of aircraft engine supply chains.

Initiated in April 2023, the Alliance aims to redefine standards for eco-friendly aircraft engine supply chains. Its pioneering strategies include the use of digital services to improve transparency regarding emissions, the adoption of sustainable aviation fuels, and the implementation of engine stand management solutions to mitigate environmental impacts.

Representing Atlas Air at the award ceremony were Camille Fleenor, Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy; Kevin Martin, Vice President of Procurement; Jonathan Swetnam, Senior Director of Powerplants; and Tyler Conklin, Legal Counsel for Labor and Employment. The event attracted over 400 industry executives and influencers.

“It was an honor to accept this recognition on behalf of Atlas alongside our esteemed partners, SR Technics and Kuehne+Nagel,” said Jonathan. “This award is a testament to our shared commitment to advancing sustainability within the aerospace industry and driving meaningful change for the future of aviation.”

Atlas Air takes pride in its involvement with the Sustainable Engine Alliance and continues to advocate for sustainability efforts that serve the aviation sector and the environment.
