Atlas Ocean Voyages unveils 2024 cultural expeditions with exclusive workshops and lectures

Atlas Ocean Voyages is thrilled to unveil a series of expert-led workshops and onboard lectures as part of its 2024 Cultural Expeditions season, augmenting its array of year-round expeditions, which includes Polar and Epicurean journeys. These new additions aim to deepen guests’ understanding and appreciation of diverse regions and their local cultures.

“Atlas Ocean Voyages continues to redefine expedition cruising offering an adventure for every explorer aboard our new fleet of expedition yachts with under 200 guests,” said President and CEO James A. Rodriguez. “On Cultural Expeditions, we are excited to introduce a unique mix of immersive onboard and shoreside experiences where guests can gain insights from experts to further enrich their expedition.”

In 2024, Atlas Ocean Voyages Cultural Expeditions will offer both onboard and onshore programs that include drone and photography workshops, culinary culture explorations, and insights from destination experts. Here’s what to expect:

Atlas Focus Lab: Drone & Photo Workshops

Join the exclusive Atlas Focus Lab for Drone & Photo Workshops on your Cultural Expedition, where photography meets adventure under the guidance of experts. These workshops offer a deep dive into capturing stunning images, guided by professionals in drone and destination photography. Learn to find the perfect shot on land, and get a bird’s-eye view with drones in select locations. Experience diverse photography adventures, from the Canary Islands’ landscapes to Iceland’s wild terrains, all while enjoying first-person views through FPV goggles. Departures for these visually captivating journeys are set for April 18, April 28, May 24, July 3, July 12, and August 10, covering the Canaries, Iceland, Ireland, and Norway.

Cooking Culture

Dive into the culinary heritage of each destination with Atlas Ocean Voyages, featuring guest chefs, food historians, and experts. Engage in onboard demonstrations, compelling presentations, and specialized tastings that reveal the essence of the Caribbean, South America, Northern Europe, and more. These lively experiences connect guests with the rich cultural backgrounds of each unique destination. Scheduled voyages include the World Traveller on March 31, the World Navigator on April 18, April 28, July 12, August 10, October 27, and the World Voyager on March 27, April 5, April 24, and May 2.

Our Cultural Expeditions are enriched by a diverse range of destination experts and lecturers, from British Museum guides to senior fellows of the Geological Society of London.
