Ambra Schilliro
Journalist
Ambra Schillirò was born and raised in Catania, Italy. She holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Political Science and earned an English diploma in Broadstairs, Kent. She began her career in journalism at the age of 18, working for her first newspaper and appearing on television for the first time soon after.
Over the years, her articles and TV reports have been published and broadcast across magazines, newspapers, and television networks in both Italy and China. She has also hosted a wide range of shows, launch events, and press conferences in China.
Ambra has been a professional member of the Italian Journalists Association since 2002. She has also been a member of USSI, the Italian Sports Journalists Association, since 2006, and of the International Sports Press Association since 2010. Alongside her journalistic work, she has held several institutional and community roles, including President of the Sicilian Association in China and Vice President of the Italian Association in Shanghai.
After working for several economic newspapers in China, she expanded her expertise into media relations, press conferences, social media strategy, and corporate communications. In 2014, she founded Social Cloud, a marketing and public relations company based in China.
Today, Ambra is co-editor of the Asia column for Billboard Italia, a regular contributor to Rolling Stone, a collaborator with Elle, and Editor in Chief of the Chinese edition of Switch magazine.
