Since its debut at the Cloud Forest, Gardens by the Bay in Singapore on October 28, 2022, Avatar: The Experience has reached numerous remarkable achievements, including welcoming its 2.5 millionth visitors, Ms. Florencia Santorun and Mr. Santiago Laidlaw from Argentina, on December 28, 2023. This milestone was celebrated by Mr. Ron Tan, Executive Chairman & Group CEO of NEON Group; Mr. Felix Loh, CEO of Gardens by the Bay; and mascots Eko Pup and Kanu Pup, as they welcomed the guests from Argentina just before the exhibit concluded its Singapore run.

Drawing inspiration from the films Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water, the experience has captivated both local and international audiences for over 14 months. A collaborative effort initiated in 2021 by Disney Location-Based Experiences, James Cameron and Jon Landau’s Lightstorm Entertainment, and NEON, the event is an immersive walkthrough inspired by the storytelling and beauty of the world’s highest-grossing film, Avatar, with the Cloud Forest serving as an ideal backdrop.
Reflecting on its success since the opening ceremony on October 28, 2022, attended by VIPs including Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Heng Swee Keat and representatives from NEON, the Singapore Tourism Board, Lightstorm Entertainment, and Disney Location-Based Experiences, Avatar: The Experience has welcomed an impressive total of 2,630,925 visitors over 419 show days. This makes it the highest attended NEON IP show globally, with a record single-day attendance of 12,251 visitors on December 24, 2023, showcasing the lasting appeal of the Avatar experience.
The experience has not only allowed millions to explore the wonders of Pandora but has also earned global recognition for its creative and technological excellence. NEON proudly received the “Outstanding Attraction Experience Award” at the 2023 Singapore Tourism Awards, a reflection of the Group’s commitment to quality, storytelling, and immersive technology.
