Avelo Airlines marked a significant milestone today as they celebrated the first anniversary of establishing their base at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). In conjunction with this celebration, the airline unveiled its plans for expanded East Coast service, introducing a new destination and three additional nonstop routes.
To commemorate the one-year anniversary of Avelo’s operations at RDU, the airline proudly announced Albany, New York, as the latest addition to its network, offering exclusive nonstop flights to The Research Triangle. Furthermore, Avelo unveiled two new routes to Greenville/Spartanburg, S.C. (via GSP), extending exclusive nonstop service from Manchester, New Hampshire/Boston, Massachusetts (via MHT), and Rochester, New York (via ROC).
Commencing in May 2024, these three new routes will be serviced by Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Introductory one-way fares start at $62*, and reservations can be made via AveloAir.com. Avelo has also extended its selling schedule, now allowing bookings for travel through September 2, 2024.

On February 15, 2023, Avelo inaugurated its fifth operational base at RDU. Since then, the airline has expanded its fleet to include a second aircraft and has grown its RDU-based team to approximately 90 Crewmembers, encompassing various roles such as Personnel comprising airport customer service representatives, flight attendants, pilots, aircraft technical operations and maintenance staff, and supervisors.There are still more career opportunities available within the organization.
Since its launch at RDU, Avelo has catered to over 230,000 Customers and conducted more than 1,700 flights.
