Avelo Airlines is celebrating a significant achievement at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in the Research Triangle, having served over 250,000 customers since its launch there in 2022. This milestone underscores the airline’s commitment to providing affordable, reliable, and convenient travel options to passengers in the Triangle Region.
In honor of this achievement, Avelo is offering special one-way fares starting at $69 from RDU, available for booking on AveloAir.com. The airline connects RDU to six direct destinations, including Tweed-New Haven Airport in Connecticut; Manchester, NH/Boston, MA; Albany and Rochester in New York; and Fort Myers and West Palm Beach in Florida.
Avelo is excited to announce a new route to Albany, New York, starting May 10, perfectly timed for horse racing fans planning to attend the Triple Crown events at Saratoga Race Course, located just under 30 miles from Albany.

Since its inception in the Triangle Region, Avelo has conducted nearly 2,000 flights, carrying over 250,000 customers. In 2023, the airline expanded its operations at RDU, making it their fifth operational base with two aircraft and over 80 crew members.
Avelo has proven itself as one of the most dependable airlines in America. In the first quarter of 2024, the airline boasted the second-best on-time performance and one of the lowest flight cancellation rates among U.S. carriers. This follows their 2023 performance, where Avelo led the industry in flight reliability.
