Avelo Airlines is poised to enter 2025 as America’s most reliable airline. With exceptional performance in 2024, the airline earned top rankings for on-time arrivals and achieved the lowest flight cancellation rate in the U.S. airline industry, reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence.

Outstanding On-Time Performance in 2024
In 2024, Avelo ranked #1 in on-time performance, with 83.9% of its flights arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time. This impressive achievement surpassed Avelo’s 2023 performance of 82.8% and outperformed the industry average of 77.6%. This consistent reliability sets Avelo apart as a top contender in the competitive U.S. airline market.

Record-Breaking Flight Cancellation Rate
Avelo also earned the distinction of having the lowest flight cancellation rate in the U.S. airline industry for the second consecutive year. With only 0.48% of its nearly 19,000 scheduled flights cancelled, Avelo outperformed the industry average of 1.33%, proving its commitment to minimizing disruptions for travelers.

2024 Flight Cancellation Rate Rankings

Expanding Footprint and Customer Satisfaction
Avelo’s growth trajectory continued in 2024 as the airline flew 2.4 million customers, surpassing 6 million total passengers since its 2021 launch. The airline’s exceptional customer service is reflected in its high Net Promoter Score (NPS), which ranks among the best in the airline industry.

By the end of 2024, Avelo operated nearly 19,000 flights and expanded its network to 49 destinations. Notably, Avelo launched international routes to Cancun, Mexico, and Montego Bay, Jamaica, with plans to further expand in 2025 by adding five new destinations, including Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, its third international route.

In 2024, Avelo also opened two new bases at Sonoma County Airport and Orlando-Lakeland Linder International Airport. Additionally, it expanded its Connecticut presence with a shared base at Bradley International Airport in Hartford. By 2025, Avelo plans to open new bases in Concord, North Carolina, and Wilmington, North Carolina, bringing the total number of bases to eight.

Fleet and Crew Growth
Avelo continues to invest in its fleet, adding four Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft in 2024, bringing its total fleet to 20 aircraft. The airline expects to receive three more 737s in 2025, with two deliveries in the first half of the year.

The airline offers a variety of seating options, including extra legroom on one-third of its aircraft, with seat pitch ranging from 32 to 36 inches. Passengers can also select window and aisle seats in advance. Avelo’s unbundled services, such as priority boarding, checked bags, carry-on bags, and pet accommodations, allow travelers to pay only for the options they need, offering flexibility and convenience.

Avelo also gives passengers the ability to change or cancel their itineraries without incurring extra fees. Families can travel with peace of mind, knowing that children under 14 will automatically be seated with an accompanying adult at no additional cost.
