From April 9 to 11, 2025, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board took a strategic step to enhance its tourism partnerships by hosting a series of dynamic presentations in three key Russian cities: Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, and Novosibirsk. These events were designed to spotlight Azerbaijan’s diverse travel experiences and foster deeper connections with Russia’s tourism industry.
In total, over 220 travel trade professionals participated in the gatherings, which were tailored to encourage collaboration between Azerbaijani tourism providers and Russian tour operators. The sessions in Yekaterinburg and Tyumen were organized in partnership with the tour operator Evroport, while the Novosibirsk event was facilitated by Globus Tour.

The presentations included detailed insights into Azerbaijan’s rich tourism offerings, with particular emphasis on its wellness and health tourism, thriving golf industry, and burgeoning wine and gastronomy sectors. Networking sessions followed the presentations, allowing Azerbaijan’s hospitality brands—including the Absheron Hotel Group, Chinar Hotel & SPA, Gashalti Health Hotel, and Rayda Tour Operator—to connect directly with Russian professionals.
This initiative not only provided a platform for sharing information about Azerbaijan’s tourism but also set the stage for future partnerships and mutual growth. By showcasing its diverse tourism experiences, Azerbaijan is positioning itself as a must-visit destination for Russian travelers, and the meetings served as a crucial step toward strengthening bilateral tourism ties.
