Azul, Brazil’s largest airline in terms of daily flights and served destinations, and Silver Airways, a prominent regional airline in the United States, have officially announced the commencement of a codeshare agreement. This agreement facilitates the sharing of flights between the two airlines and introduces a collaborative model that allows customers to purchase tickets for Silver Airways flights within the United States directly through Azul’s sales channels.

Under this partnership, customers can now buy airfare from Brazil to Azul-operated destinations in the United States, specifically Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. From these hubs, passengers can seamlessly connect to various prominent tourism and business hubs. Departing from Orlando, travelers can access Key West, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, and other destinations in the United States, as well as Marsh Harbour and North Elethera in the Bahamas. Fort Lauderdale serves as a gateway to Key West, Tampa, Gainesville, Orlando, all within the state of Florida, and provides connections to several Bahamian islands, including North Eleuthera, Freeport, Georgetown, Governor’s Harbour, Marsh Harbour, and Bimini. Additionally, a new Silver Airways route to Providenciales in Turks & Caicos will be available.

André Mercadante, Director of Alliances, Planning, and Revenue Management at Azul, emphasized the significance of this collaboration between the two airlines: “The initiation of this partnership with Silver Airways reflects Azul’s commitment to delivering an exceptional flight experience and broadening the travel options for our customers, enabling them to explore international destinations. With this new agreement, we provide access to a comprehensive national and international network, further strengthening our synergy and dedication to delivering excellent service. This allows our customers to depart from our hubs and, with a single ticket, embark on journeys to fantastic, modern cities with stunning beaches and rich cultural experiences.”

Pedro Motta, Chief Commercial Officer of Silver Airways, expressed enthusiasm about expanding their commercial relationship with Azul as Codeshare Partners: “We are thrilled to enhance our partnership with Azul as Codeshare Partners. This passenger-centric arrangement enables Azul to offer a broader range of destinations in Florida and the Bahamas, all while seamlessly connecting passengers to Silver’s safe, reliable, and customer-friendly service. We eagerly anticipate welcoming Azul’s passengers on our flights.”

When purchasing codeshare tickets, customers can enjoy traditional services along with access to a wider selection of destinations, a simplified check-in process, and the convenience of checking baggage from their departure point to their final destination. These tickets are available for purchase through Azul’s official channels, including their website (www.voeazul.com.br), Call Center (4003-1118), or via partner travel agencies.

At present, Azul operates a total of 15 non-stop flights, linking Fort Lauderdale to destinations including Recife (PE), Manaus (AM), Campinas (SP), Belém (PA), and Belo Horizonte (MG). Additionally, there are an additional 11 flights connecting Orlando to Campinas (SP), Recife (PE), and Belo Horizonte (MG).
