Baga Sarahan soon to be developed as a tourist spot

To develop tourist activity, the government of Himachal Pradesh is all prepared to develop Baga Sarahan area under the Ani assembly segment of Mandi district in the forthcoming days.

Residents of Ani and Nirmand have recently explained that in all these years, the Baga Sarahan area was known for the bounty of nature, in addition to having thrilling routes of trekking, which would pull several tourists to it if this place develops the right kind of infrastructure.

Kishori Lal, BJP MLA from Ani constituency in Kullu district, have stated that due to the demands of the locals, the state government decided to develop Mandi for tourism. This would generate self-employment opportunities for the locals at the same time.

“There is vast potential for adventure activities in Baga Sarahan area but it requires basic infrastructure for the purpose. I had taken up the demand of people with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and he agreed to develop the place under ‘Nai Rahen, Nai Manzilein’ scheme for tourism purpose,” he stated.

At a cost of Rs 30 crore, the MLA mentioned that the area would be promoted as a tourist destination in the coming days.
